Consent and conditions of entry for „#GENERATIONTK Selfie” competition
1. Consent to the publication of photos on social media platforms, thyssenkrupp platforms and in reporting to the press
I consent to the photo that I submit to thyssenkrupp via the ‘Enter the competition’ button as part of the competition “#GENERATIONTK Selfie” being used by thyssenkrupp for editorial and advertising purposes on the social media platforms Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter as well as on thyssenkrupp-owned platforms (Corporate Website www.thyssenkrupp.com, www.karriere.thyssenkrupp.com, www.generationtk.com, www.ausbildung-bei-thyssenkrupp.com, Intranet, employee newspaper) without restriction in terms of content, geography and time, in particular also beyond the period of the competition.
I can revoke this consent to thyssenkrupp at any time. This is possible for example by means of email to email@example.com
2. Competition terms and conditions
thyssenkrupp AG, 45143 Essen (hereinafter thyssenkrupp) is organizing the competition “#GENERATIONTK Selfie”.
thyssenkrupp is giving away the following:
1st place - €500 for a team event
2nd place - €250 for a team event
3rd place - €100 for a team event
4th - 10th place - Employer Branding surprise packages
These prizes will be divided among 10 winners. The competition starts with the beginning of the new Employer Branding campaign “#GENERATIONTK – Standing still is moving backward. Let’s move toward change.” on May 31, 2021. The closing date for entries is midnight Central European Time on July 31, 2021. The winners will be determined as follows: There will be 10 winners drawn randomly from all valid entries received.
The competition is open to all employees from thyssenkrupp. Barred from entry are all persons who are or were involved in the organization of the competition. The same applies to first- and second-degree relatives of such persons and their cohabiting life partner.
b) Conditions of entry
thyssenkrupp will communicate the possibility of entering a competition on the website www.generationtk.com. Valid entries will be all photos showing the taker personally, other people or objects and giving all the necessary information (First name, Last name, email address). If consent for publication is not desired, the taker must send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the additional message “no publication” or “cancelation of consent for publication”.
With the sending of their photos, eligible participants automatically take part in the competition. Multiple photos received from one entrant will count as one entry. Photos with sexist, racist or violent content are excluded from the competition. Alteration of the photo will not lead to exclusion provided the conditions above are still met.
c) Cancelation of the competition
thyssenkrupp reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition at any time without advance notice. thyssenkrupp may make use of this option in particular if the orderly execution of the competition cannot be guaranteed for technical (e.g. viruses in computer systems, manipulation or hardware/software errors) or legal reasons.
thyssenkrupp reserves all rights, in particular also the right to claim compensation from participants whose behavior causes the premature cancelation of the competition whether for technical or legal reasons.
d) Prize and winners
The winners will be notified by thyssenkrupp via email. No guarantee is accepted for the announcement of the winners.
If the individual winners do not respond within 48 hours of the above notification, their claim to the prize will lapse and a new winner will be determined. The response must be by mail to email@example.com and must include the winner’s full name and correct address.
The prize cannot be alternatively paid out in cash. Claims to the prize are not transferable to other persons.
Upon handing over the prize thyssenkrupp is discharged from all obligations.
thyssenkrupp accepts no liability for material or legal defects in respect of the prizes and the resultant consequences for the operation of the competition and distribution of the prizes.
thyssenkrupp accepts no liability for legal or material defects or physical injury to participants except in cases of intent or gross negligence.
thyssenkrupp accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising due to errors, delays or interruptions in transmission, failures of technical equipment or service, incorrect content, loss or deletion of data, viruses or any other circumstances during participation in the competition.
thyssenkrupp accepts no liability for hindrances to the operation of the competition caused by force majeure (severe weather, illness etc.) and reserves the right in such cases to change the timing of the distribution of the prizes.
These limitations of liability do not apply if the loss or damage was caused with intent or gross negligence by thyssenkrupp (its boards, employees or agents) or in the case of infringement of a major contractual obligation.
The judges’ decision is final. These conditions of entry and the entire legal relationship between the participants and thyssenkrupp are subject exclusively to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. Should individual provisions of the conditions of entry be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the other conditions of entry.
g) Data privacy statement
We shall use the data provided in the competition only for the purposes of the competition. We shall also only use your data within the framework of your consent, insofar as this has not been revoked. Participants are free to revoke their participation in the competition or the prize draw at any time.
